Since
1836, Prof. Romeo Orsi Wind Instrument Factory
has produced a complete range of wind instruments,
following the construction principles of the
great Italian tradition of craftsmanship, and
has remained Italy’s
best known wind instrument manufacturer.
Today,
the founder's traditional craftsmanship is
combined with the new construction methods
of its master craftsmen. Purchased in 1995
by Ermenegildo Perin and Donatella Della Valle,
the Orsi Company has embraced modern technology.
The addition of CNC (computer numeric control)
machinery and an emphasis on woodwinds has
characterized the company’s
new direction.
Building
on this foundation, a series of exciting new
woodwind models are slated. An experienced
understanding of the wood used in woodwind
manufacturing will identify the future Orsi
instrument lineup.
